From Tualatin to Hillsboro...

Hillsboro, Oregon

Middle Earth position: Road zig-zigs to top of a steep bank and goes down for the last time. Can see across Woody End to the River. **THEY STOP TO REST, EAT, and REST more! Sun was beginning to get low as they went down the hill (29.8 miles)

Sock Swap....

This lovely package arrived all the way from Karen of Arkansas. What can I say but I love it all. The first thing I ate was the chocolate covered pretzel. There was a felted bag with a fun fur trim that's very roomy, two boxes of Ghirardelli coffee (Chocolate Rasberry and Chocolate Mint), a bar of handmade lavender soap (I absolutely love handmade soap), Chocolate Fudge from Sweet Temptations of Greenbrier, AR (that will be eaten soon enough), a chocolate covered pretzel (already eaten), two cute lil notebooks with a purple pen, a sock book (Vogue Knitting Socks Two), 2 hanks of Lornas Laces in Girly Stripe, and 2 hanks of handspun yarn spun by Karen herself. I love the whole package!!! Thank you Karen!!!

Healthy choices and more...

Another health commitment - but hey, its a good thing. I have actually gone two whole days without drinking any soda. Plus I have started back with the exercise. Not too shabby. Usually I can drink a few cans a day. But now I have started drinking more water and tea.

And here is what I received for the last package for Secret Pal 9. I finally got to find out who has been spoiling me all this time - Michelle of All Things Crafted. It's pretty cool that she has the same name as my sister. The first thing to be eaten was the chocolate that had a strawberry filling. The best part of the package - besides the chocolate - was the Lornas Laces sock yarn in the Daffodil colorway. I absolutely love daffodils so that was just the best color for me.

Two boys and a park...

It was pretty rainy yesterday so I didn't get a chance to take a picture for Saturday Sky. Today was much nicer to go out. So this picture comes from Tigard, Oregon in the parking lot of Joann's Craft Store where I picked up a copy of Yarn Play and some small skeins of yarn to make baby items for God's Tiny Angels. After this, we took the boys to the park in Tualatin.
