Playing with beads...

Stitch markes in progress. It took some time for me to get the hang of the wrapped loop but I just have to practice. All I have to do is add the lil rings to the top of the markers.

And here is my latest in jewelry making. I got these in kits from Michaels. They were on sale for $5.00 and I still have two more kits to work on.

Saturday Sky and more...

Two finished items - the Booga Bag for my KMKS pal and the Hermione Cable & Bobble hat. I used Patons SWS in Geranium for the bag and Cascade 220 in Ruby Red for the hat. The hat came in handy when it snowed here last week.

And here is my KMKS kit - a very cute Strawberry Shortcake bag with matching yarn and a pattern to knit mittens for everyone in the family. I'm gonna start with the two boys as they need mittens. Thank you Necia!!!

Just another Manic Monday...

Saturday sky over Trader Joes in Lake Oswego, OR

Sunday Sky over Tualatin, OR

Nathan (4 years) and Nicholas (1 year)

And here is my second package from Secret Pal 9. The only thing not in the picture is the chocolates which were already eaten. But there is the soft wool blend from Romania. It's called Wonderwool Tweed - a skein of dye your own yarn from Knit Picks along with some kool-aid - some pretty purple beads - a green Chibi - Hello Kitty ribbon that's very cute. I love it all. I don't know what I am gonna do with the wool yet, but I will figure out something.

The search is over...

And here is the new house. Very charming on the inside. It's located in Tigard, Oregon about 2 blocks from the high school. So we have about a million things to do for the move.

Plus I have started to work out to loose this extra weight. I realize that my current weight may not seem like alot to some people but to me it is. Before I got pregnant with Nathan back in 2002, I weighed about 130 lbs and wore size 8. Now, let's just say I weigh more than that. So I joined Runagogo! and started yesterday with 3 miles. It's a start. Doing the walk to Rivendell sounded like fun. I saw it mentioned on Quietish.

My Middle Earth position as of last night is:

Still in Hobbiton, crossing a plank bridge. (3 miles)

Saturday Sky

Another cloudy day in Oregon. This picture comes from the front yard of a house we took a tour of in Tigard over by the high school. This one had a good size yard for the boys to play. Tomorrow we are gonna go to an open house so the search continues.

Secret Pal 11 goodies

These goodies arrived yesterday from my upstream SP 11 pal. The best part has got to be the two bags of Brachs Mellowcreme Pumpkins. Every year I wait patiently for Halloween to arrive so I can have as many pumpkins as I want. Check out the cute ball of roving that I get to play with. Hopefully I can get some practice on the drop spindle. Love the Sockotta sock yarn!!! It's my first ever Sockotta yarn. I even love the colors of the Lion Brand Boucle. Thank you to my SP 11 pal!!!
