Nathan and the Clapotis Cap...

Well, I finally finished the practice Clapotis Cap. I think the most fun part was dropping stitches - looks around - on purpose!!! Now that was totally fun. Since it was a pratice one - I used Red Heart in Stars & Stripes. Nathan was actually cooperative and let mommy take a picture of him in the hat. Now to decide what color to make mine.

Fairly decent day...

Well it started out bad with the virus hitting most of the yahoo groups that I belong to. Turns out I wasn't the only one affected with it. That's still pretty lame that someone would intentionally send a virus like that. Like I said - that person must not have a life. Anyway, the good news is I was allowed to rejoin the Socks for Soldiers group - yahhhhh!!!!! The link can be found on the right side of the blog under Charity Links. Any group that donates to the military is a good thing in my book - being former Navy I kinda know what they go thru. Then I got to spend a few hours untangling an entire hank of Cascade 220. Not fun at all. If it had been Red Heart then I probably won't have bothered but since it was part of my Mother's Day gift then I had to do it. Plus I have plans for this particular hank - Kool Aid bath. Lastly, the tickets for Thomas and Friends "A Day out with Thomas" arrived today. Lil Nathan is gonna be thrilled when we get there and he gets to take a ride on Thomas.

The PT Cruiser...

The new car - a 2006 PT Cruiser in Marine Blue. So much more roomier than the Escort - and with 4 doors it makes it easier to get the kids in the back seat. Looks like there is a chance that the Escort might be going over to Colorado to my mother. Today we took the PT Cruiser out and went up to Gladstone to the Michaels up there. Got 3 balls of cotton yarn that Nicholas liked to play with and gave slobbery kisses to. Of course I forgot to get some black Red Heart that I need for an exchange. I need to make 8 amethyst Wagon Ho squares for a lady in Florida who loves purple. The only thing that was weird for me was not pumping my own gas. Oh well, at least my hands won't smell like gasoline.
