Here is a picture of my mother's day gift this year. I got 6 new skeins of Cascade 220. Yes, there are seven in the picture but the palest blue I had from last week. Still have no idea what to make with any of them. Although I am considering a pair of Hermoine mittens. The best part of the day was sleeping in until 10 in the morning.

This past saturday I got a chance to go to a cute lil yarn store in Portland called "The Naked Sheep". The lady there was very friendly and it was a cozy lil shop. Anyway, I only had a short time to look around as the kids were in the truck with the hubby and they were getting restless. The one thing I was able to buy was my first skein of Cascade 220 100 percent wool in Summerdaze 5018 . Now I just have to figure out what to make with it. I would like to knit something with it besides socks. I am thinking of a pair of mittens or a hat or a small cabled clutch. I also picked up a copy of "Knitting Rules" by the Yarn Harlot herself and still can't put it down. Now how am I suppose to knit with a book in my hands?
