A hat for me!!!

Finally something I crocheted for me!!! Yesterday I was waiting for Nathan's school bus to arrive and my ears got cold. So I made this lil hat all for me. I used Red Heart White and trimmed it with Bernat Boa in Dove. I think it turned out nicely. Now I just have to knit the matching scarf. I got 2 skeins of the Boa yesterday in a trip to AC Moore. I was looking for Fun Fur Night Sky for a Chinchilla Stole but they didn't have any. *sad face* Oh well, I'll just keep looking.

Daffodils

Arthur Quiller-Couch, ed. 1919. The Oxford Book of English Verse: 1250–1900.

William Wordsworth. 1770–1850

530. Daffodils

I WANDER'D lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretch'd in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Harry Potter Ravenclaw SS scarf

40 hours later!!! Its finally done!!! I am a really slow knitter but trying to knit with a 3 year old wanting attention is not easy. I made this scarf with Red Heart Delft Blue and Silver. Now on to a Gryffindor SS scarf for the hubby.
